The Cambridge Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (CTCC) is a non-profit business organisation representing Taiwanese enterprises and professionals across Greater Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region. Rooted in one of Europe’s foremost centres of research and innovation, CTCC serves as the principal point of connection for Taiwan-linked business activity in the area.
Our community brings together founders, executives, investors, researchers, and independent professionals whose work spans the deep-tech, life sciences, and high-growth sectors that define the Cambridge cluster. Whether members are establishing a UK presence, scaling an existing operation, or seeking trusted peers in the local ecosystem, CTCC provides the relationships and regional context to do so with confidence.
Membership is offered through three tiers — Ordinary, Supporting, and Strategic Corporate Partner — accommodating individual professionals, contributing partners, and headline corporate sponsors. Members benefit from networking events, closed-door briefings, introductions to local institutions and policymakers, and a collective platform that gives Taiwanese business a voice in the region.
CTCC is governed by an elected Council under a published constitution that ensures transparent decision-making, sound financial stewardship, and accountability to its members. We welcome enquiries from prospective members and partners committed to building meaningful Taiwan–UK business ties.
Mission Statement
To realize our vision of shared prosperity, CTCC is committed to the following four mission statements:
Market Entry & Strategic Matchmaking: Facilitating the successful landing of Taiwan’s flagship enterprises across high-value sectors—including Semiconductors & AI Data Technologies, Biomedicine & CDMO, Precision Medicine & Smart Long-Term Care, and Sustainable Green Energy—in Cambridge. We provide precise market entry consultancy, business matchmaking, and localized resource support.
Bilateral Industry-Academia Translation & Global Market Expansion: Deepening strategic partnerships with prestigious local academic institutions and UK research, government, and industry organizations. We promote the “Taiwanese R&D, UK Validation” and “UK R&D, Taiwanese Manufacturing” models, accelerating the translation and localized validation of pioneering technologies while leveraging Taiwan’s industrial strengths to help UK innovations expand into Asian and global markets.
Trade Advocacy & Resource Integration: Strengthening communication with government authorities and trade organizations in both Taiwan and the UK, advocating for member interests and enhancing the economic influence of Taiwanese businesses.
Talent Empowerment & Community Connection: Building a cross-generational knowledge-sharing platform and facilitating bilateral internship and exchange programs for students, academic talents, and enterprises across diverse sectors. By partnering with alumni and professional associations, we aim to nurture the next generation of global tech and business leaders within the Cambridge ecosystem.
